I found the We Love Ella concert DVD on a trip in Singapore. This performance by Ledisi (spliced in here with footage from an interview with the singer) was the highlight of that entire disc. Thought singers like this no longer walked the earth. Ms. Ledisi turned that song out and shook the hotel room I watched in in. Love her.

Her debut album, Lost and Found came out in August of last year. It’s a solid listen, but she didn’t have my attention until she rocked the floor with that maternal advice. Love her. Love her!
