O2 has a gorgeous new mobile phone coming out in August. It’s designed by a company called Syntes Studio

My phone’s crapped out on me and I’m holding on for dear life until the Cocoon comes out. I’ve always felt mobile handsets lacked the sleek and bespoke quality given most other consumer units. There’s an understated elegance to this phone’s design that’s exactly what the doc ordered.

As far as features go the Cocoon is not too shabby, boasting a media player, AM/FM radio tuner and a 2 megapixel camera. As you’ll make out from the images below, the outer shell has an LED, secondary display that lays flush with the rest of the exterior. The phone also comes with a cradle called ‘the Nest’ that turns the unit into a pretty stunning radio alarm-clock, when docked. According to some sources it will be Mac Compatible. The bulk of its bundled software though, will probably only work with Windows.
